Cheap Trick/Jason Bonham's Led Zep Experience - BB&T Pavilion - 7/13/17

The Thursday Night Concert Tour began with a little tailgating and then some Zep and one of my all time faves, Cheap Trick at the BB&T Pavilion.  Foreigner was headlining, but I had business in Philly to handle. More about that later...

This is the 3rd time I've seen Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience and once again, absolutely impressed!!!  The band is super tight.  Bonham has his dad's drumming down to a tee.  Lead singer James Dylan does a perfect job nailing Robert Plant's vocals.  You better if you are trying to fill those shoes for an evening! Ripping thru such Zeppelin classic like When The Levee Breaks, Whole Lotta Love, Rock n Roll, Immigrant Song, and many more.  If you're a Zep fan, you have to see this show at least once.

Next was Cheap Trick.  I've seen them so many times since 1997 (opened for Motley Crue at the Spectrum).  Just a fun live band.  Robin Zander's vocals seem to get stronger as he gets older.  Dream Police, I Want You To Want Me, Ain't the Shame, Dream Police, Surrender.  They played a few tunes off their new record, We're All Alright, which is getting great reviews!

Foreigner was up next, but like I said I had business in Philly.  I'm sure they did a great job, but Chevelle awaits at The Fillmore....
