Red Sun Rising - The Foundry - 3/25/18

Red Sun Rising - The Foundry @ The Fillmore Philadelphia

Checked out Red Sun Rising Sunday night at The Foundry.  If you haven't been, The Foundry is a small, inlimate venue upstairs at The Fillmore Philadelphia.  My first time seeing a show in this venue.  Previously I watched a Q&A with Dave Mustaine of Megadeth about Megadeth beer along with a quick pic.

Red Sun Rising impressed me so much in September of 2016 at Caesars AC opening for 3 Doors Down and Pop Evil that it brought me out on a school night.  They impressed once again.  Frontman Mike Protich has such a powerful voice live.  Though night played Sunday night, check out his vocals on their cover of Alanis Morrissette's Uninvited.  The show featured tracks off their new record "Thread", which hits stores on March 30th including the top 10 Rock track "Deathwish".  They also included tracks from their debut "Polyester Zeal".  Their two #1 Rock songs "The Otherside" and "Emotionless" got the crowd singing along... as well as the #6 hit "Amnesia".  The band is tight and along with Protich's vocals Red Sun Rising is a solid live act.

Missed the show?  They'll be back in town on August 26th at the BB&T opening for Godsmack and Shinedown.

The Foundry is a cool venue to see a live band in a small, intimate setting.  I recommend The Foundry as well as Red Sun Rising live!
