Metal was loud and proud Wednesday in Philly with the Killthrax Tour hitting the Electric Factory. Four bands took the stage. Missed the openers Jasta and The Devil Wears Prada. Killswitch Engage were up next. Got into the Electric Factory to catch their last 3 songs, including their cover of the Dio classic Holy Diver and the closer In Due Time, whcih I've always liked. The main event for me though was Anthrax, as they were pay tribute to their 1986 classic, Among The Living.
Anthrax hit the stage with the title track from their '86 classic and blasted right into Caught In A Mosh. Though they didn't play Among the Living straight thru, they hit the entire record along with some classics, new tracks from Worship Music, and deeper cuts. The encore was a one two punch of Antisocial and Indians. After all these years, they proved why they are considered one of The Big 4 along with Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth. My fourth Anthrax show and never have they disappointed. The band is super tight and Joey Belladonna still has the pipes to go along with them.
The Electric Factory hosted another excellent show as always. That place has changed so much since my first first in 1996 when i was 20 checking out Tesla. Side note, the Factory was serving the Anthrax beer Wardance Ale. Two thumbs up!!!
